During a meeting of the Governmental Commission’s working group, the Emergency Minister has ordered that a Ministry’s plane should be sent to the city of Orsk to deliver specialized medical crews who would take DNA samples from relatives of the killed in the Antonov An-148 crash. The plane will also be carrying psychologists of the Emergency Ministry’s Center for Emergency Psychological Aid.
Mr. Puchkov pointed out that priority of all agencies involved is providing aid and support to all families of the dead and added that the SAR operation at the crash site is continued.
The number of rescuers working at the crash site in Moscow Region has been brought up to 600 with 120 units of equipment. Airmobile teams of the Leader Center, Tsentrospas team and Noginsk Rescue Center are working at the site.
The An-148 of Saratov Airlines traveling from Moscow to Orsk disappeared from radar minutes after takeoff from Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport. Debris were found near the village of Stepanovskoye, Ramenskoye District. The plane was carrying 71 people, including 6 crew members.
