To participants and organizers of the All-Russian Assembly summing up performance of the Single State Disaster Management System, civil defense in 2017 and setting tasks in 2018.
I am welcoming you at the annual All-Russian Assembly aimed to sum up performance of the Single State Disaster Management System.
Our country has seen fewer man-caused accidents and catastrophes and people have been enjoying reliable protection in the past few years thanks largely to joint, coherent and efficient work of territorial and functional divisions of SSDMS.
Today your priorities of sicgnificance include upgrading infrastructure of fire and rescue divisions and improvement of aerial rescue technologies. Efficient mechanisms of preventing emergency situations should be adopted everywhere and focus should be made on creation of highly mobile SSDMS teams. This global and much-needed work should make full use of powerful potential of partnership between the state and private sector. And of course greater international cooperation in disaster management is of great importance. More should be done to involve volunteer organizations and to intensify awareness-building efforts.
I expect that proposals and recommendations made during the All-Russian Assembly will help to handle those tasks, will be reflected in practical activity, will help to consolidate safety, to successfully develop our country and its regions.
I wish you all the best.
