Minister for Emergency Situations Vladimir Puchkov has met today with governor of Stavropol Territory Vladimir Vladimirov.
The officials discussed further development of the Stavropol Territory subsystem of the Single State Disaster Management System, building up the potential of the Crisis Management Center and fire and rescue units.
They also talked about measures being taken to ensure safety of the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
The Minister and the governor revised the plans of further work, regarding namely supplying fire and rescue divisions of the region with new equipment and gears and infrastructure projects being implemented.
“All the stages of creating, constructing and putting into operation, as well as preparation for the 2018 summer season should be under constant control,” Mr. Puchkov said.
The Minister also pointed out that today’s safety level at Caucasus mineral waters resorts is higher than in many developed countries.
The Minister thanked the governor for great joint work done to tackle flooding that happened in May.
Mr. Vladimirov said that he and the Stavropol Territory Disaster Management and Fire Safety Commission were personally controlling that all the people affected by the disaster got assistance.
