New Russian-made ATs-5,5-40 fire engines, based on Ural trucks have been supplied to fire and rescue divisions of Chechnya. This type of fire engines is designated to put out fires, deliver fire fighting team, equipment and fire fighting liquids to the scene. Since the beginning of the year, the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Chechnya Republic Directorate has received 6 fire engines and 2 rescue vehicles.
Ural off-road trucks are fitted to respond to fires, traffic accidents, as well as rescue operations. The tank is capable of holding 5.5 tons of water, while pumping capacity if 40 liters per second.
“New vehicles are being supplied to the Chechnya Republic’s Fire Department. Such equipment is crucial for saving and rescuing of people”, said the Head of the Chechnya Republic Directorate Ruslan Yakhyev.
Right now, ATs-5,5-40 vehicles are undergoing necessary technical and legal procedures, after that they will be engaged into active duty.
