Minister for Emergency Situations Vladimir Puchkov has held a working meeting and heard reports on suppression of the fire at a construction shopping center in Moscow Region.
The team of forces involved in dealing with the fire in Sindika shopping center was reported to have been reinforced. Almost 300 people and aircraft are working at 5 sections.
The fire is being extinguished along the perimeter of the building. 20 fire engines and 8 lifters, 16 sky lifts, aerials and other specialized fire and rescue equipment are operating. In addition, two pumping stations are being installed at the moment and preparations are underway to water the building along its perimeter. “Water the building inly using specialized equipment. Cover the perimeter and set up cooperation with all services, including aircraft,” he said.
Mr. Puchkov also ordered that cooperation should be organized between emergency services of the city of Moscow and the region and that the population should be kept updated on the current situation. “Inform drivers using modern technologies.
