Students have taken part today in celebrations dedicated to taking oath by first-year students of the Emergency Ministry’s Siberian Fire and Rescue Academy. 249 first-year students successfully passed tests and joined the ranks of the Emergency Ministry’s personnel.
All residents of the town of Zheleznogorsk have been able to see the ceremony for the first time, as it was held on the main square of the town.
The first-year students vowed loyalty to the profession, Academy and Russia in presence of the senior officials of Krasnoyarsk Territory, Emergency Ministry’s Siberian Regional Center, town authorities, veterans and their parents.
“It is impossible to take back the words of the oath you have just taken, you vowed loyalty to your native country,” said head of the Emergency Ministry’s Siberian Fire and Rescue Academy Alexander Makarov. “I wish you persistence and diligence in your noble cause.”
A diverse program was arranged for the guests – an exhibition of fire and rescue equipment, demonstration of rescue operations, performance of artistic teams of the town and the Academy.
The final of the ceremony was march of the first-year students in front of the stands.
In 2017, the department of fire safety engineers accepted 75 students who are going to have one of two major subjects: Fire Safety or Technosphere Safety. Another 100 people are going to have Fire Safety as their major subject and get high professional education.
