In accordance with the order of the Russian president, the Russian Ministry for Emergency Situations has prepared documents to allocate budget funds from the Russian Government reserve fund to pay compensations to the people affected by a natural disaster in Maritime Territory.
They are going to get a lump-sum payment of 10 thousand rubles, 50 thousand rubles for partial loss of property and 100 thousand rubles for complete loss of property.
Torrential rains caused the water levels to rise in rivers and flood streets, roads, damage bridges cutting off several settlements.
Relief operations are underway in Maritime Territory at the moment. Emergency Ministry’s brigades cleared 131 yards, removed 142 cubic meters of debris, pumped water out of 134 houses and cleared 29 km of storm sewages in the past 24 hours.
Emergency Ministry’s responders are working at boat crossings 24 hours a day in Ussuriysk Urban District and Khasansky District.
The population are kept updated and provided with all-round assistance, special attention being paid to children, bed-ridden and older citizens.
More than 2,400 people and more than 400 units of equipment, including more than 1,700 people, 274 units of equipment, more than 60 boats and 2 aircraft provided by the Russian Emergency Ministry, are involved in the relief operations.
