The Russian Emergencies Ministry’s Ilyushin Il-76 plane with more than 20 tons of relief goods on board, made a flight from the Ramenskoye Airfield to Yemen by order of the Russian Government. The plane, following the path from the Ramenskoye to Sana’a (Yemen) with a landing in Aswan (Egypt), carries large tents and foodstuffs for the population affected by the military operations. On the way back, the plane will evacuate to Moscow Russian and CIS citizens, who are willing to leave the conflict zone.
Similar humanitarian operation was carried out in 2015. Back then, the Emergencies Ministry’s jet delivered about 23 tons of relief goods to Yemen.
