Representatives of the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency have visited the Nikiforov’s All-Russian Emergency and Radiation Medicine in Saint-Petersburg.
The Swiss delegation arrived to Saint-Petersburg to take part in the round table, during which employees of both Ministries exchanged experience in the field of medicine, in particular in diagnostics, scientific and educational fields. The Russian specialists discussed with the Swiss colleagues emergency medicine and training of specialists in slightest details.
Participants of the round table also presented reports on organization and rendering of emergency medical aid, including during emergencies caused by radiation, organizing o education and vocational medical education and non-medical personnel. The presentation showed and examined actual accidents and their aftermath, and how Swiss, Russian and other European emergency services responded to them. Then foreign guests were taken for a trip around the Center to demonstrate capabilities of the unique Russian medical institution.
Swiss colleagues expressed their gratitude for cordial welcome and discussed further cooperation in the field of medical aid. Specialists from the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency invited Russian colleagues from the Nikiforov’s Emergency and RadiationCenter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry to visit Switzerland.
The meeting was carried out in accordance with the Plan for joint cooperation between the Russian Emergencies Ministry and the Swiss Development Cooperation Agency for years 2016-2017.
This is not the first meeting between Russian and Swiss specialists that took place in 2017. In April specialists from the StateFireServiceAcademy visited the InternationalFirefightingAcademy in Switzerland. Back then the specialists shared experience in fire safety specialists training.
