Participants of the VI Society for Safety Forum of the Emergencies Ministry and non-governmental organizations, as well as representatives of teams that participate in rescuing sports competition have carried out Operation Clean Shore on Lake Onega. The Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of Russia, the Honored Rescuer Yuri Vorobyov and the Head of the Northwestern Regional Center of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Igor Panin lead the Operation.
“We noticed that every year there is much fewer litter on the shores and nearby forests”, said Yuri Vorobyov. “Our joint efforts make our cities, forests and roads cleaner. Our country is extremely big. Every Russian must behave as a diligent housekeeper that protects his own home from trash and must learn his children the same”.
The Operation became traditional for Forum participants. This year the Operation was carried out in two places simultaneously: on Lake Onega and in the Children Park of Vytegra. Additionally, the team of the Saint-Petersburg Fire and rescue College together with the organizers of the Wonderful World Park cleared the forest and installed the new piece of art called “Winged rescuer”, which is located just above the “Living Forest” route.
2017 is declared the Year of Ecology in Russia and we call everybody to contribute to comfortable and clean streets of our country!
