A Round table, featuring the Director of the Operations Department of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Anatoly Yelizarov has taken place in the press-center of the Moskovskij Komsomolets Publishing House. “There are fewer emergencies this year than last year”, says Anatoly Yelizarov. “As a whole, the total number of emergencies this year is average across long-term results” He also pointed out that the Russian Emergencies Ministry took all necessary efforts to minimize aftermath of recent emergencies.
“We were ready for them since the beginning: we developed plans in accordance with forecasts and engaged sufficient forces and equipment. Emergency response services acted professionally during hurricanes, including in heavy rains and strong winds that took place in different areas of Russia, minimizing the damage”, said Anatoly Yelizarov.
The Chief Specialist of the Russian Weather Service Marina Makarova, the Director of the Modern Economics Institute Nikita Isayev and others also took part in the round table.
