Emergencies Ministries of Russian and Kyrgyzstan extend cooperation in prevention and mitigation of emergencies

The Russian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov and Emergencies Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov have discussed cooperation in the field of cooperation and mitigation of emergencies and extension of mutual aid between Emergencies Ministries during the meeting.

“Extension of cooperation for the sake of development of the Russian and Kirghiz national CrisisManagementCenters is one of the main projects of ours. Additionally, our science divisions cooperate between each other, the same task was set to the StrategicResearchCenter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. Mutual cooperation between the Russian and Kirghiz Emergencies Ministries will be greatly extended”, said Vladimir Puchkov.

The Russian Minister also pointed out that it is crucial to establish the single information and management system for forecasting of emergencies.

“First of all, we’d like to discuss creation and development of the information and management system for forecasting, early alarm, prevention and mitigation of emergencies and disasters in Kyrgyzstan”, said Vladimir Puchkov and pointed out that the All-Russian Civil Defence and Emergency Situations Research Institute already has developed documentation that defines the concept, technical requirements, necessary equipment and cost of such project.

In turn the Emergencies Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kubatbek Boronov thanked the Russian colleague for cooperation.

“I’d like to express my gratitude for constant support in matters of prevention and mitigation of emergencies and other disasters. Over 25 years of existence of our ministries, we successfully extended both mutual cooperation and individual initatives”, said the Emergencies Minister of Kyrgyzstan.

Creation of the Russian-KirgizHumanitarianResponseCenter has been also discussed during the meeting. The Ministers also assessed capabilities of responding to emergencies, including delivery of rescue equipment, creation of humanitarian goods storages for the population during emergencies. An agreement on technical maintenance of the Kirghiz rescue aircraft was signed during the meeting.

At the end of the meeting Vladimir Puchkov invited representatives of the Kirghiz Emergencies Ministry to participate in the international exhibition Integrated Security 2017 that will take place from 6 to 8 June 2017 in the NoginskRescueCenter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry.
