The Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov right after arrival to Ulan-Ude, left to fly around fire-prone areas of Buryatia on Mil Mi-8 helicopter.
Vladimir Puchkov together with task group of the Emergencies Ministry on Mil Mi-8 helicopter carried out aerial monitoring of wildfire situation in Buryatia, where wildfire threat is extremely high due to heat wave, strong winds and human factor.
Wildfires that occurred due to dry grass burning already destroyed houses in two settlements of Buryatia.
The Emergencies Minister heads to one of such settlements, the settlement of Cheryomushki. Vladimir Puchkov will check measures taken to provide normal functioning of society, assess fire situation on the spot, and meet with head of the village and citizens that were affected by fires and examine how aid is being provide to them.
