Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov takes part in flower laying ceremony at Tomb of Unknown Soldier

An important part of the Defender of the Fatherland Day is a flower laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

The President of the Russian Federeation Vladimir Putin honored the fallen soldiers by laying flowers to the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier memorial located at the Kremlin Wall.

Veterans of the Great Patriotic War, the Prime Minister of the Russian Government Dmitry Medvedev, the Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matviyenko, the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, the Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office Anton Vaino, the Russian Emergencies Minister Vladimir Puchkov, heads of law enforcement agencies and ministries, state and political figures took part in the event.

The participants of the ceremony laid red carnations to the memorial and honored the fallen defenders of the Fatherland by minute’s silence. The military orchestra performed the National anthem of Russia during the ceremony.

The President of Russia also laid flowers to steles of the Russian Hero Cities at the Kremlin Wall. The ceremony ended be marching of the Kremlin Regiment servicemen.
